• Miami is the second destination in North America served by Air Italy
  following the launch of its daily flights to New York JFK.
• By the end of June 2018, Air Italy expects 80% load factors on its US-Italy routes.
• Starting 9th September 2018, Air Italy will launch its new Milan-Bangkok services.

Milan, 8th June 2018 – The first Air Italy non-stop flight to Miami was inaugurated today, taking off from Milan Malpensa at 1.00 pm, completing the new Summer 2018 network of services to North America following last week’s launch of daily service to New York JFK. Flights to Miami are offered four times weekly and are operated by an Airbus 330-200 offering 18 seats in Business and 236 in Economy class.

The departure of the Milan-Miami IG903 flight was celebrated in the presence of Air Italy's Chief Operating Officer, Neil Mills, who thanked SEA Aeroporti di Milano officials and gave a warm welcome to the 254 departing passengers. To celebrate this new service, there was a traditional cake and ribbon cutting ceremony and the departure of the A330 aircraft, its passengers and crew was marked with a celebratory water cannon.

Air Italy's Chief Operating Officer, Neil Mills, said: "With the opening of this service to Miami, Air Italy is proud to inaugurate its second North American service. This is an important time for Air Italy and our mission is to deliver an excellent and memorable passenger experience on board all of our flights ".

“We have already sold 50% of the Summer 2018 season capacity based on 120,000 seats and we plan to end the month of June – our first month of North American operations - with a load factor of more than 80%. It is even more impressive that more than 50% of customers choose Air Italy to fly from the United States via Milan, to Rome, Naples and Palermo ".

Air Italy’s next new service to be inaugurated will be the four-times weekly service between Milan and Bangkok, which will commence on 9th September with flights each Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We are pleased to announce that sales forecasts for this new route are extremely positive.

All international flights to and from Milan Malpensa, including the one inaugurated today for Miami, can connect with domestic flights served by Air Italy between Milan and Central South Italy, namely Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme and Olbia.
