Air Italy is delighted to announce that Yousef Elzaro has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Air Italy starting November 8th, 2019.

Mr Elzaro joins Air Italy after more than 25 successful years in the aviation industry in the USA, the Gulf and the Middle East region as a finance professional, assisting in the growth of multiple airlines and airports, including start-up and global leaders.

In his new role, Mr Elzaro will be responsible for overseeing all financial strategies and operations of Air Italy, including Procurement.

Air Italy Chief Operating Officer Rossen Dimitrov said: "As we continue to evolve and grow, it is vital that we enhance our management team and I am therefore delighted to welcome Elzaro on board.

"Elzaro’s wide experience in managing both airlines’ and airports’ finances in multiple markets will be extremely useful as we build upon our first 20 months of successful operation as Air Italy and enter our next major growth phase.

"Our commercial partners can be confident of a robust and efficient financial setup, and I look forward to working with Elzaro as we welcome him to the Air Italy team."

Following his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration at Jordan University, Mr. Elzaro joined Royal Jordanian Airways in 1993 after which he subsequently completed his MBA/MIS at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Rising through the business to Finance Director, he moved to become Financial Controller at Kuwait Airways in 2005.

Following further senior executive roles as CFO for Wataniya Airways, and Deputy CFO for Airport International Group, Mr Elzaro was with the Qatar Airways Group senior finance management team for five years, prior to his appointment with Air Italy.
