On 7 December 2017, Air France will begin serving Dakar’s new Blaise Diagne international airport (DSS) in Senegal. All flights to/from Léopold Sédar Senghor (DKR) airport will be transferred to the new airport.
Located in Diass, the new airport will offer Air France customers lounge access, SkyTeam priority services with dedicated check-in and boarding together with a shopping and restaurant area.
The company will keep customers personally informed of any airport change. Air France flight numbers will remain unchanged and the company will automatically reassign reservations with the new airport code (DSS). Air France will also update tickets as well as any special requests and paid-for options.
The new airport is a first step to transforming Dakar into a regional civil aviation hub, where 5 million annual passengers are expected in 5 years and 10 million in 2035.
