Paris, Amstelveen, Le Bourget, 19 June 2017 - Air Canada and AFI KLM E&M today signed an agreement at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget to extend the scope and duration of the GE90 support contract originally signed between the two groups in 2010. Under the terms of the agreement, the existing contract has been expanded to include four additional engines powering the two latest Boeing 777-300ERs to enter the Canadian flag carrier's fleet. The contract's duration has also been extended.

Richard Steer, Vice President Maintenance and Engineering Air Canada, said: "Air Canada is pleased with the relationship forged with AFI KLM E&M in the framework of this contract. The quality of the work, their in-depth knowledge of engine maintenance and overhaul and efficient turnaround times has led us to extend the contract for several more years."
