AJW Group, the world-leading independent specialist in the global management of aircraft spares, has extended its power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract with Air Astana.

AJW has provided its market-leading PBH support to Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan on an ongoing basis since 2006. The extension to the contract sees AJW continue to provide support for the airline’s Boeing aircraft.

In addition to PBH support, AJW is providing a lease package to Air Astana which will give the carrier immediate access to high priority aircraft parts.

Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO of AJW Group, said:

“The extension of our partnership with Air Astana takes us into our fourteenth year of working together and makes them AJW’s longest standing PBH customer.

“We are delighted to have supported this flag carrier over such a long period- a clear demonstration of AJW’s ability to develop programmes tailored to our customers’ needs.”

Peter Foster, President and CEO of Air Astana, said:

“AJW Group has been a highly reliable and trusted partner of Air Astana’s for well over a decade. The extension of our contract with them is a marker of our successful working relationship.

“As we continue to expand our fleet and route offering, AJW’s PBH and component lease offering means we have the tailored support we need to grow with confidence.”

Air Astana is headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan and operates scheduled domestic and international services on 64 routes.
