Worldwide support operations
The Group has thus become one of the first suppliers of MRO services to be able to assist LEAP operators worldwide during the entry into operational service phase. AFI KLM E&M can now meet the needs of its customers in carrying out the on-wing/on-site work on LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. The scope of these interventions is tailored to the requirements of operating airlines, and may include activities like, power plant build-up, borescope inspection, and line replaceable unit (LRU) replacement services, among many others.
Expertise swings into action
Thanks to its Airline/MRO profile, AFI KLM E&M can handle the technical and operational requirements in connection with the entry into service of new engine types. It has provided support for initial operations with new engines on many occasions for its parent and third-party client airlines, and as such has developed extensive expertise for on-wing/on-site work in particular, as well as building up skilled, experienced teams. Its extensive International Line Maintenance network means it can work very closely on line maintenance for airlines operating the LEAP engine, anywhere in the world.
Depending on the work scope, AFI KLM E&M will also be able to assist customers in other areas related to maintenance work on the LEAP engine, such as aircraft/engine consultancy, tooling and equipment support, and in later stage Quick turns and Shop visits.
By combining this array of strengths, AFI KLM E&M will be able to help its customers optimize the operational and financial costs of operation thanks to its reliable and rapid-response support services.
