Aerotask has successfully closed the acquisition of one Boeing 737-500 (MSN 28915) aircraft on behalf of an undisclosed buyer. This particular 737-500 was formerly operated by the now defunct VIM Airlines and was involved in a runway excursion incident in Latvia.

Plans to restore the aircraft’s airworthiness are now underway before its entry into service with future operator Ukrainian Wings, a Kiev-based passenger charter and ACMI airline. This aircraft is a welcome addition to Ukrainian Wings’ existing fleet of two 737 aircraft and is intended to expand their charter and short to long-term ACMI offering.

With the completion of this transaction, Aerotask lives up to its reputation of being the leading asset management and advisory firm specializing in difficult assets.

Aerotask is a Dubai-based global aviation consultancy providing Asset Management and Financial Solutions to airlines, lessors, financiers and aviation investors worldwide.
