Aerotask has successfully closed the sale of three ex-Armavia 737-500’s to Meridien FZE.

“The aircraft departed from Katowice Airport after several years in storage,” said Meridien CEO, Garnik Papikyan, “The aircraft will undergo additional technical works in Jordan before being placed into service with Armenia’s Taron Avia.”

“This transaction is exemplary of our expertise in difficult assets,” said Aerotask CEO, Marian Pistik, “In addition to its challenging technical condition due to years in storage, the aircraft title had to be meticulously cleared of multiple claims and liens that were legacy of the previous operator’s bankruptcy. Given these challenges, we are extremely pleased to be adding this aircraft to our portfolio of successfully closed transactions.”

Aerotask is a Dubai-based global aviation consultancy providing Asset Management and Financial Solutions to airlines, lessors, financiers and aviation investors worldwide.

Meridien FZE is a Sharjah-based trading company, and related party to Armenia’s Taron Avia.
