Brazil's Synergy Aerospace, owned by Germán Efromovich, plans to deliver three ex-Aviana Brasil A320s to Aeromar by the end of 2018, with the intention of adding eight aircraft by mid 2019.
The Mexican airline will continue to operate its turboprop fleet, acting as feeder aircraft, with A320s handling any increased demand.
Routes operated by the A320 will be announced in 3Q 2018.
The aircraft deliveries are part of a US$100 million capital injection by Synergy Aerospace in Aeromar, that has yet to finalize. Aermar will be branded as Avianca Mexico, thereafter.
