Aergo Capital Limited (“Aergo”) has acquired two (2) A321-232 aircraft, bearing the manufacturer serial numbers 3820 & 3878 respectively. Both aircraft were owned by investment vehicles managed by SkyWorks Leasing (Ireland) (“SkyWorks”) and have long-term leases attached.
Fred Browne, Chief Executive Officer of Aergo, commented: “We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of two A321-232 aircraft managed by SkyWorks, with Aegean Airlines leases attached. We would like to extend our gratitude to the SkyWorks and Aegean teams for their continued support and dedication throughout the entire transaction process. We are excited to have Aegean as a new lessee and look forward to any collaboration opportunities with SkyWorks in the future.”
Anders Hebrand, Chief Commercial Officer of SkyWorks, commented: “We have greatly valued our partnership with Aegean over the past three years and wish them continued success. This was a true win-win transaction in which we enhanced value for both Aegean and our investor-client by substituting engines to allow the leases to be extended, and by leaving Aegean in the expert hands of our trusted colleagues at Aergo.
Smith Gambrell Russell, LLP acted as lead counsel to Aergo. Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP acted as lead counsel for SkyWorks.
