Vietnamese full-service airline, Bamboo Airways, has become the latest airline to select AerFin’s BeyondPool™ component solution.

The flexible, cost-efficient, spares support program will satisfy the component requirements of Bamboo’s fleet of E-Jet aircraft, including the provision of an on-site inventory holding positioned at the airline’s headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The contract marks another significant step for AerFin as Bamboo Airways becomes its first E-Jet contract customer in Asia, a region that is proving to be a popular destination for the secondary E-Jet market as aircraft transition to new operators.

Chris Hooley, Director – Airframe Services, said: “We are extremely focussed on anticipating the requirements of our global customer base and see this as the start of a long-term, strategic partnership with Bamboo Airways. They are an operator with an ambitious growth trajectory and following on from the success in support of the initial wet-lease operation out of Hanoi since October 2020, we are perfectly positioned to support these objectives which include imminent plans to bolster its fleet with additional E-Jet aircraft for the domestic Vietnamese market”.

Nguyen Minh Khoa, Director - Leasing and Procurement at Bamboo Airways, commented: “Following the introduction of the E-Jet aircraft into our fleet, it was crucial that we selected a partner who has the technical in-house expertise on this platform. This uniquely structured agreement provides Bamboo Airways with an affordable and reliable component support solution which has the ability to adapt and develop in tandem with the evolving operation, allowing us to continue to deliver a smooth and on-time service for our customers”.

Bamboo Airways is the latest airline to join the AerFin’s BeyondPool™ customer portfolio, joining operators such as: Finnair, Great Dane Airlines, IKAR and British Airways CityFlyer.
