AMSTERDAM (Oct. 17, 2018) – AerFin and NORDAM today announced an expanded strategic-services agreement to include consignment, exchange and lease-management of spare nacelles for V2500-A5 and CFM56-5B engines used on Airbus A320 aircraft belonging to A320-series operators in Europe.

Under the agreement, NORDAM airline customers may access AerFin-owned components and related operational support from its main rotable-distribution base near Gatwick Airport in London. The spares allow aircraft to remain in service while NORDAM repairs their thrust reversers and nacelles, preventing potentially costly ‘aircraft-on-ground’ downtime during maintenance.

“We are delighted to expand our support in the narrow-body market by offering our dedicated, cost-effective and high-quality service to NORDAM and its customers,” said Nick Filce, AerFin’s Director of Asset Sales and MRO. “Through our aircraft-acquisition strategy, we have built a large stock of Airbus component inventory to support our airline customers and key strategic partners through bespoke program solutions.”

The news comes as both companies exhibit at aviation-industry trade show MRO Europe. T. Hastings Siegfried, Chief Operating Officer for NORDAM’s global repair and MRO group, is also speaking on a panel about parts traceability during the conference’s technical sessions.

"By furthering our cooperation with AerFin, we’re controlling inventory costs and improving access to flight-ready, certified components and assemblies," Siegfried said. "This geographically strategic arrangement underscores the NORDAM commitment to deliver consistently outstanding service and value to our customers, anywhere in the world."

The agreement is not the only synergy between the two companies. According to Siegfried, AerFin also acquires and markets material using NORDAM-owned PartPilot.com, a global-aviation online marketplace combining a simple e-commerce experience with powerful search and negotiation tools.
