AerCap Delivers Fourth Boeing 737-800 Aircraft to US-Bangla Airlines
Dublin – AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap”) (NYSE: AER) has announced the delivery of the fourth 737-800 to US-Bangla Airlines, the largest private airline based in Bangladesh, serving the domestic and international markets. The Boeing 737-800, powered by CFM engines, was manufactured in 2007.
AerCap President and Chief Commercial Officer Philip Scruggs said, “AerCap is very proud to be the sole supplier of US-Bangla’s 737-800 fleet which is used on their international routes. The airline has gone from strength to strength within a 12 month period. The rapid expansion while maintaining good business performance is a testament to the strength of the US-Bangla leadership team. Imran Asif, CEO of US Bangla Airlines said, “We are excited to take delivery of our 4th 737-800 within 12 months of taking the first aircraft (October 2016). All 4 737-800s are on lease from AerCap which demonstrates the strong relationship between us and AerCap, while it also reaffirms our confidence in the Boeing 737NG aircraft. The 737NG fleet will grow further to form the backbone of our operations, and we are currently exploring the possibility of inducting the 737 MAX.”
