AEI Delivers 100th B737-400SF Freighter Conversion
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is proud to announce the company has reached yet another noteworthy milestone by delivering the 100th B737-400SF freighter conversion. The re-delivery honor goes to Dublin, Ireland-based ASL Aviation with the 11-pallet position B737-400SF (MSN 25097). This aircraft represents the 13th AEI B737-400 converted freighter that has been re-delivered to ASL over the last several years. ASL currently has an additional four AEI B737-400SF freighters either currently undergoing conversion or scheduled for modification in 2018 at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility.
“This milestone represents another important achievement in AEI’s history,” said Roy Sandri, AEI President. “The AEI B737-400SF has been an exceptionally successful freighter for not only ASL, but for all of our leasing and operator customers world-wide.”
AEI’s B737-400SF shall provide ASL Aviation with a highly flexible Ancra CLS capable of carrying multiple ULD’s including:
(10) 88”x125” ULDs in P1 to P10 or
(5) 88”x125” and (10) 61.5”x88” in P1 to P10 and
(1) 53”x88”x64” Pallet or AEP/AEH or 60.4”x61.5” AKE/LD3 or 61.5”x88”x56”H AYY in P11
This unique flexibility has been designed by AEI to allow cargo operators to immediately adapt to multiple ULD configurations at a moment’s notice. When combined with proven reliability, the AEI Converted B737-400SF will allow ASL Aviation to keep their aircraft – “In the air, generating revenue”.
