Adria now flying to Kiev
It will soon be possible to fly to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine and its largest city, with Adria Airways. Adria, the leading regional carrier, which connects Ljubljana to 18 destinations with more than 190 scheduled flights a week, will introduce this new service at the end of October.
Direct flights three times a week will connect Ljubljana Airport to Kiev's Boryspil International Airport, located less than 20 km east of the capital. "We believe that with this new service not only do our passengers gain better connections to Kiev, but we will also be connecting Ukraine to other European destinations via Ljubljana," says Adria Airways managing director Arno Schuster.
The first Adria flight to Kiev departs on Sunday, 29 October 2017. With night flights from Ljubljana Airport, passengers will be able to travel to Kiev on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while departures in the other direction will be on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
"This coastal country in Eastern Europe is opening itself to the world and also offers increasing opportunities for economic cooperation," says Mr. Schuster. "We believe that with the introduction of this new service, which will enable faster and easier travel between Ukraine and Slovenia, our two-way economic cooperation will grow even stronger. Ukraine, the largest country in Europe, is also considered one of Europe's richest and oldest cultures. Its major cities, headed by Kiev, are also becoming increasingly interesting to tourists, thanks to their rich architecture, music, and art."
