Adria Airways successfully on track in commercial growth in 2017 and positive outlook
Adria Airways finished 2017 with a 10 percent growth in passengers. The airline welcomed on board more than 1.2 million passengers, opened a new destination and increased the frequency of flights.
“2017 was a crucial year for Adria Airways and all of its employees,” says Dr. Arno Schuster, Managing Director of Adria Airways. “Through a continuous improvement in customer service, enhanced product offerings, and additional effort from our dedicated staff, Adria Airways was able to attract new customer segments.”
In a demanding market environment, Adria Airways put an additional focus on more benefits for the customer as well as giving them more choice. The airline continued to improve flight connections, added more frequencies, and further reduced waiting times between connecting flights. Since October, the Adria connects Ljubljana with Kiev, enabling travel between Ukraine and European destinations three times per week.
Regarding passengers’ convenience, Adria Airways offered more payment options, specially priced tickets for passengers travelling to multiple destinations, and those that wish to travel in groups. Optimizations were also made for businesses, who can benefit from an upgraded Adria Corporate Programme.
The successful end of 2017 was also welcomed by the Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, Mr. Zmago Skobir: ”We are pleased that Adria Airways made a significant contribution to the number of passengers at the Ljubljana Airport last year. By introducing scheduled flight traffic to Kiev, it also increased the number of destinations from our airport, and thus contributed to our efforts to provide the widest possible network of flights from our airport. Since Adria Airways announced in 2017 six new destinations to beign this year, we look forward to the future with great optimism.”
Adria Airways will consistently continue to improve its offerings and has ambitious plans for 2018. The year will be dedicated to opening more connections between cities in Europe and the Balkan region. Customers can already book tickets for flights from Ljubljana to Hamburg, Geneva, Bucharest, Sofia, Dubrovnik, and Island of Brač.
With the implementation of novelties and optimizations, Adria Airways is continuously commitmented to improving the travel experience, offering the most convenient way of traveling in the region.
