ACC Aviation transacts Boeing 737-400 to Frontera Flight Holdings Inc.
ACC Aviation, the global aviation consultancy offering asset management and financial solutions to airlines, lessors and financiers, has successfully transacted a Boeing B737-400 (LY-MGC) from Lithuania's GetJet Airlines to Frontera Flight Holdings Inc, USA. The 1991-built aircraft (Serial No 24904) will be reconfigured from 168-seat passenger fit to dedicated freighter for onward lease to passenger and cargo airline Aeronaves TSM of Mexico.
Work on the freighter conversion is scheduled to start later this summer by Aeronautical Engineers of Miami, FL. It will see the addition of a cargo door on the forward left side of the fuselage, plus modification of the main deck to carry multi cargo containers or pallets of up to 23 tonnes (23,000 kg.)
"Demand for freighter aircraft has increased significantly since the pandemic,” acknowledged Robert Sitta, Vice President Asset Management at ACC Aviation, based in Dubai. “We were therefore very pleased to be able to identify a suitable asset for Frontera Flight Holdings’ client so swiftly and conclude the sale at the end of January.”
The transaction was finalised by ACC’s asset management division, formerly known as Aerotask.
“The B737 will become an integral part of our fleet once the conversion is complete, which will enable us to strengthen our position as leaders in the air cargo market and leverage the e-commerce demand between Mexico and Central America,” added Enrique Garza, Chief Executive Officer at Aeronaves TSM.
