ACC Aviation expands its technical services division
Faizal Gara named Business Development Manager
ACC Aviation, the global aviation services group, is expanding its technical services and asset management division with the appointment of Faizal Gara as Business Development Manager, effective immediately. Reporting to Julian Aldana, Vice President of Technical Services, he will be responsible for advancing the business’ technical and asset management services to the aircraft financing and leasing communities. Faizal will be strategically based at ACC’s HQ near Gatwick Airport, close to aircraft lessors and financiers in Dublin and London.
His appointment coincides with a rebound in commercial aviation post-pandemic, as more and more airliners return to the skies and demand for independent technical advisory builds.
Faizal brings nine years of relevant experience in aviation business development. Most recently, he held the position of Commercial Manager, Technical Services at IBA Group, responsible for sourcing, originating and managing new contracts.
His notable successes include: due diligence for a lessor’s acquisition of a leading Asian airline’s fleet; securing a long-term lease of a Sikorsky S-92A helicopter during the pandemic and developing and managing a risk management system for a leading investment bank.
“We are delighted to welcome Faizal to our international team. He brings an impressive network of contacts and is a great fit for us as we widen out our technical/asset management activity six months since launch,” said Julian Aldana, ACC Aviation VP of Technical Services.
Faizal Gara added. “I am pleased to be joining a young, progressive team that is achieving some great results supporting a growing global client base. Its relationships with airlines, lessors, financiers and financial institutions are revered, and I look forward to helping them take on some exciting and challenging new projects.”
Before aviation, Faizal worked with Samsung Electronics in all activities relating to the 2012 London Olympics. He is proud to be a Freeman for the Worshipful Company of Marketors.
