ABL Aviation Announces Fifth A321neo Delivery To Pegasus Airlines, With Two More Deliveries Planned This Year
Dublin, Ireland, October 2023 – ABL Aviation, the global independent aircraft asset management firm, today announced the successful delivery of its fifth A321neo aircraft to Pegasus Airlines on behalf of its Japanese partner. The latest delivery, facilitated through a Japanese operating lease with a call option (JOLCO) structure, is the fifth aircraft delivered to the airline, with two additional deliveries expected to be completed before the end of 2023.
ABL Aviation consistently pioneers innovative solutions in the aviation industry. This was demonstrated in the landmark delivery of the first A321neo to Pegasus Airlines in April 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This transaction represented the industry's first remote delivery and the first JOLCO to be funded with AFS-guaranteed debt. These pioneering initiatives highlight ABL Aviation's relentless ambition to refine traditional aircraft delivery methods.
Ali Ben Lmadani, CEO of ABL Aviation, commented on the successful delivery, "ABL Aviation is pleased to strengthen its long-standing partnership with Pegasus Airlines. This series of transactions demonstrates our dedication to creating tailored financial solutions. We will focus on arranging finance for cutting-edge and environmentally friendly aircraft as we move forward. This strategy represents our sustainable mindset and ensures synergy with our valued airline partners' growth and environmental goals."
ABL Aviation recognises the importance of sustainable aviation and prioritises the A321neo within its portfolio. This aircraft leads Airbus' A320neo family, representing the aviation industry's environmental commitment. With over 5,400 global orders by September 2023, its innovative engines reduce fuel and CO2 emissions by 20% while providing exceptional comfort in its spacious single-aisle cabin.
