The fastest-selling airplane in Boeing’s history
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 presents a unique flight experience thanks to its Sky Interior cabin design with LED lighting and a spacious cabin layout. Drawing its power from the LEAP-1B motors specially produced for the Boeing 737 MAX by CFM International, the aircraft enables a longer range, plus a greater fuel saving and efficiency.
Reducing the carbon emission with its superior fuel-saving feature, the new series is more eco-sensitive than its competitors and 40 percent quieter compared to existing single-aisle aircraft. With its possible range of 3515 miles, which is longer than the Boeing Next-Generation 737 series, the 737 MAX 8 enables further distances to be flown. In addition to the remarkable new aerodynamic design of the MAX series, the advanced technology winglets, provide a 1,5% extra fuel saving.
The production of the 737 Max, which is the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing’s history, had started in December 2015 and 92 different companies from all around the world have ordered more than 4,000 MAX planes so far. The maiden flight of the 737 MAX, with a list price of around 110 million USD, took place on January 29th 2016 and Boeing has delivered 49 airplanes until now. Production of the 737-800 series, which is Boeing’s earlier single-aisle model, started in 1997 and 6554 airplanes had been delivered by September 2017.
