Georgia, Macedonia or Albania are also being discovered, attracting especially travellers who like to combine holiday relaxation  with tourism. Under the #SummerwithLOT campaign, the Polish carrier will fly to the places with a stable epidemic situation and at the same time open to tourists coming from abroad. Apart from Montenegro and Cyprus, where entry is conditioned by a negative coronavirus test, other countries have lifted restrictions related to traveller tests or quarantine. However, these rules may change. Therefore, before travelling we encourage you to follow the current epidemic regulations in force in the country where we plan to spend our holiday",  said Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.

LOT summer promotions

#SummerwithLOT also means savings - connections offered by LOT in July and August are available at very attractive prices. A one-way ticket with hand luggage can be purchased from 99 PLN, a round-trip ticket starts from 199 PLN. Flights are focused on tourist traffic, therefore only Economy class is available.

Taking care of the comfort of planning holidays during a pandemic, LOT has also introduced additional facilities for passengers. Travellers can take advantage of the new FLEX PLUS fares, offering even more flexible conditions for managing reservations from June 18th. If it is necessary to change your travel plans, tickets purchased in FLEX PLUS fares can be exchanged, returned and also transferred to another person on preferential terms. In addition, passengers also have the possibility to cancel their trip free of charge within 24 hours of purchasing a ticket. For tickets purchased less than 24 hours before departure, cancellation is possible up to 6 hours before the flight. The new fares are available from June 18th.

At the same time, passengers have to take into account some changes in the existing network. Some flights will be removed from the system and passengers will be offered a change of flight. “Before the pandemic, tickets were sold several weeks in advance. No one was able to predict how the epidemic would develop in each country and what kind of restrictions will apply to passengers. Therefore, long term date flights were available for sale in the reservation systems. Now we know that some of them will not return to the schedule and will be removed from it. We apologise to our passengers for any inconvenience”,  added Krzysztof Moczulski, LOT Polish Airlines Spokesman.

Tickets for LOT flights are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Thus, there is no need to rush to make changes to your reservation. Passengers of cancelled flights can change the date of their flight, select a new route, convert the value of the cancelled ticket into a voucher or refund it using the LOT Contact Centre, via the form on the LOT.comwebsite or the messenger.

Comfort and safety of summer travel with LOT

The new network route of holiday destinations also means some changes in passenger service:

·       as of July 1st ,  chequerboard distancing is lifted and all seats on the aircraft will be available for sale;

·       on holiday flights, the standard conditions of carrying hand luggage apply - you can take on board luggage weighing up to 8 kg and measuring 55x40x23 cm and additionally, for example: a stroller or accessories for children, an umbrella, a laptop bag or a small bag or a shoulder bag;

·       passengers will receive a sweet or salty snack and a bottle of water as part of our onboard free service;

·       the onboard sales service Shop&More and SkyBar (snacks, drinks, alcohol) returns, available on request and on a card-only payment method.

To ensure the comfort of traveling, LOT was the first air carrier in Europe to replace traditional paper editions of newspapers and magazines with electronic press. As of June 1st , each passenger can download their favourite titles directly to their mobile devices free of charge, 36 hours before departure and up to 6 hours after landing. The offer includes over 1,000 titles.

Moreover, in accordance with the #FlySafeFlyLOT procedure, passengers are still obliged to cover their nose and mouth with a mask throughout the flight and keep the designated interval spacing during check-in. Disinfectants for travellers are available on the aircraft. During the flight, our flight staff is equipped in appropriate protective measures, and will carry out onboard service with limited contact between the crew and passengers.

"In times of the pandemic, the world is changing very dynamically and LOT is adapting to passengers' expectations. At the same time, we are constantly monitoring the following recommendations of health  institutions and industry associations in order to ensure safety and comfort of travelling on board our planes. As of July 1st, passengers can count on additional facilities, such as an extended in-flight service or SkyBar sales. However, safety is still a priority and that is why all our services will be offered with the principle of limited contact between our  flight crew and passengers”,  says President Milczarski.

Current information on safety rules and service available on board LOT's aircraft is available on the LOT.com website in the Recommendations for Travellers tab.
