Guidance

For the third quarter the American low-cost carrier has guided a revenue per available seat-mile (RASM) that is 3%-4% lower year-over-year. This likely has to do with capacity growth having a dilutive impact on the RASM figure.

Fleet

JetBlue currently has a fleet consisting of 221 aircraft, primarily Airbus A320ceo aircraft. The airline also operates 31 of the bigger Airbus A321ceo aircraft and 60 Embraer E190 aircraft.

The airline has unfilled orders for 163 aircraft, 100 of those are for the Airbus A320neo family while the airline holds options to convert to the Airbus A321neo LR after 2019. This could point the airline envisioning low-cost transatlantic flights in the near future. Additionally, the airline has orders for 23 E190s
