Tulpar Technik plans to open one of the country’s first maintenance stations for the short- and medium-haul narrow-body passenger aircraft MS-21 at Begishevo Airport in Tatarstan. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday by the airport’s Commercial Director Felix Kozlov.

"Tulpar Technik plans to open a line maintenance facility at our airport in 2018. Initially this will be for Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft. In time this facility will be expanded to include the MS-21. It will be one of the first centers in Russia for servicing this new aircraft” said the airport director.

The MS-21 is a series of short- and medium-haul jet passenger aircraft with a range of about six thousand kilometres. It is designed to replace the Tu-154 and Tu-204/214, as well as foreign aircraft like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
