Täby Air Maintenance, TAM, has signed a contract with Alandia Air of Mariehamn, Åland (Finland), for the conversion of one of their Saab 340Bs to cargo configuration.

The aircraft – c/n 224 with the registration N9CJ – will be ferried from the United States, due to arrive in TAM’s main overhaul facility at Örebro airport on September 8th.

Alandia Air is specialized in operating leases primarily for SAAB 340’s.

  • With renowned Alandia Air being a long term TAM customer, I am glad to see we continue to consolidate our position as the globally leading Saab 340A/B cargo conversion partner, says Pär Gulle, TAM Managing Director.
  • This agreement is another valuable sign of market confidence in our joint FAA/EASA approved Saab 340 cargo conversion programme.
  • In addition, as we have been trusted with a major overhaul on this aircraft, I am proud to say this is also a sign of our strong position as the preferred choice for Saab 340/Saab 2000 maintenance, overhaul and conversion work, Pär Gulle summarizes.

TAM is the only company worldwide that has been approved by the US Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, as well as the European Aviation Safety Authority, EASA, to perform a full cargo conversion of Saab 340A and Saab 340B.
