Skytech-AIC is delighted to have been appointed by airBaltic, the highly successful flag-carrier of Latvia, as finance arranger for the sale and leaseback of six new Bombardier CS300 aircraft with deliveries commencing in June 2018.

“The CS300 is quite simply an extraordinary aircraft.” comments John Taylor of Skytech-AIC. “With recent programme uncertainties now behind it, it is clear that the CS300 is poised to become the definitive 130 – 150 seat benchmark for years to come and this transaction represents an exceptional opportunity for lessors to get in on the ground floor just as the programme is about to fully realise its potential.”

The combination of a passenger experience superior to any other narrowbody, class-beating economics and exceptional performance make the CS300 a truly formidable competitive weapon for LCCs and full-service carriers alike. “The CS300 has proved transformational for airBaltic” confirms airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss. “There is no question that more airlines are starting to catch up with our way of thinking and will add this type to their fleets”.

This transaction will be the first open-market commercial sale and leaseback of the CS300. “In a market with a shortage of new quality assets with exceptional long-term potential, we are confident that this transaction will be very well received by the airfinance community” said John Taylor.
