EgyptAir expects to receive a final permit for direct flights to Moscow in the coming week. The first flight is expected in a week’s time.

"The Russian authorities will give the airline EgyptAir a final permit for flights to Russian airports within the next week. This will allow the Egyptian airline to begin booking and selling air tickets for those wishing to make a trip to Moscow and back ", said a Russian source.

Earlier it was reported that the resumption of flights was postponed until April. Initially, it was planned for February 20th. According to the head of the Ministry of Transport, Maxim Sokolov, the start of flights to/from Egypt is delayed due to the lack of ground handling contracts with Aeroflot and EgyptAir.
