Frankfurt am Main, 22/06/2017 — From today, the long-haul flights for summer 2018 can be booked along with Condor’s 43 short-haul and medium haul destinations. From the home base of the leisure airline in Frankfurt am Main, passengers can now head into the Valley of the Sun, taking off for Phoenix for the first time. Starting in May 18th, a Boeing 767-300 will take Condor passengers conveniently to Arizona on a non-stop flight every Monday and Friday. Germany’s most popular airline is also increasing the frequency of its flights to Calgary from three to four times a week, opening up new opportunities for fans of North America.

“We are consistently continuing our expansion into North America with Phoenix as a new Condor destination. Now with twelve destinations in the USA and five in Canada, we are very well-positioned here,” says Ralf Teckentrup, Chairman of the Condor Board. “We have decades of experience working on tourist long-haul routes and see great potential in our new destination.”

Situated in the “Valley of the Sun”, the American metropolis with its year-round warm temperatures and many sunshine hours is extremely appealing. Phoenix is a perfect starting point for a round trip to discover the breath-taking landscape and the South-West of the USA, making it possible to seamlessly incorporate Condor’s year-round destination of Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon National Park as well.

“This is exciting news for Phoenix, and our community is ready to roll up its sleeves to make Condor’s new Phoenix-Frankfurt route a success,” said Mayor Greg Stanton. “It’s meaningful for Phoenix to have a nonstop route to mainland Europe, which is a sign of the strength of our market and economy, and will help boost the tourism industry for both Arizona and our German friends.”

The lowest one-way price (all taxes and fares included) from Frankfurt to Phoenix is from 349,99 Euro in Economy Class, from 499,99 Euro in Premium Class and from 999,99 Euro in Business Class.
