Goshawk is pleased to announce the acquisition of our fourth Boeing 787-9 aircraft on long-term lease to Etihad Airways. The delivery is the fourth of a four-aircraft transaction with Etihad.

The transaction also involved an innovative structured PDP financing facility for the four aircraft.

Peter Watson, CCO of Goshawk commented: “We are proud to continue our relationship with Etihad Airways, a premier airline in the Middle East and a long term strategic customer for Goshawk and we look forward to partnering with Etihad on future transactions.”

Ricky Thirion, Interim Group CFO of Etihad Aviation Group, added: “We are delighted to partner with the Goshawk team in structuring this transaction for the Boeing 787-9 which is fast becoming Etihad Airways’ flagship long-haul aircraft. The Boeing 787-9 fleet is operationally exceptional and it enables us to optimise our network performance on both existing and new routes.”

Goshawk’s committed and managed fleet now stands at 114 aircraft, with a focus on young, fuel-efficient jets on lease to 41 airlines in 30 countries, bringing the total fleet value to $5.8bn.
