Copa Airlines was forced to ground all flight to and from Venezuela for three months, following a political spat between the two countries.

The suspension is effective 06 April 2018, and can be extended, according the CAA.

All economic, financial and commercial ties between the two governments will be suspended for 90 days.

Copa Holdings does not expect any such cancellations to have other effects on Copa Holdings’ consolidated operations, as flight to Venezuela, and connecting through Venezuela, represent only up to 5% of consolidated revenues based on 2017 earnings.

Copa's subsdiary based in Colombia, will continue operations to Venezuela.
