Avianca Brasil, one of Brazil’s fastest-growing airlines, now offers daily nonstop passenger flights between São Paulo (GRU) and Miami (MIA). This is the airline’s first U.S. passenger route and only its second outside of South America. Flights are serviced by Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which seats 238 passengers.

“At Avianca Brasil, we are experiencing an exciting transition into a stronger, more mature and more competitive carrier,” said Frederico Pedreira, Avianca Brasil president. “We decided to launch long-haul operations because we understand there are good business opportunities and a chance to provide high quality services to international travelers.”

A Star Alliance member, Avianca Brasil boasts the youngest fleet in Latin America and is distinguished for superior service, ample legroom, individual entertainment systems, free meals and an Amigo loyalty program.

Business class customers receive an enhanced experience including premium menus and amenity kits. The 1-2-1 seating arrangement ensures greater privacy and comfort. At their disposal, premium travelers enjoy an on-demand entertainment system, with movies, TV series and games, viewable on 15-inch touchscreens. Seats recline to a flat position and also have control panels, auxiliary lighting, support tables, USB connection, power outlets and adjustable head rests.

Economy, which is configured in a 2-4-2 arrangement, features individual entertainment systems, remote controls, power outlets, USB ports, adjustable head and foot rests. New jets include the latest LED ambient lighting technology.

This summer, Avianca Brasil also will launch a São Paulo – Santiago route.
