AJW Group has announced the promotion of Conrad Vandersluis to Senior Vice President Strategic Material and Asset Management.

Vandersluis will focus on helping AJW’s airline customers secure higher returns on their capital expenditure. Specially, his role will include co-ordinating and developing specific purchasing activity for aircraft spares to support customers - including airlines, aircraft manufacturers and OEMs - in optimising their inventory and streamlining their operating costs.

He was most recently AJW’s Vice President Strategic Material and Asset Management - a position which he held for just over a year. His promotion is recognition of his success to date in delivering monetisation of consignments and AJW assets, and management of key client accounts.

He will manage a team of five, with an objective of increasing net profitability and sales by over £25 million for AJW Aviation.

Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO of AJW Group, said: “Conrad is a long-standing member of the AJW team who has made a valuable contribution across a range of roles since joining in 2003. He has achieved a huge amount for our clients since joining the Strategic Material and Asset Management team and his promotion is richly deserved.”

Conrad Vandersluis, Senior Vice President Strategic Material and Asset Management, AJW Group, said: “Having worked at AJW for 14 years, this is a new and exciting role that I am looking forward to taking on to deliver greater efficiencies for our range of clients. We already have a talented team in place and I feel privileged to have been offered this opportunity to lead them.”

Vandersluis has over 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry, including roles in sales at Flightspares Ltd and Skybrakes/APPH, before joining AJW Group in 2003.

2017 is a momentous year for AJW Group, with AJW Aviation and AJW Technique celebrating their 85th and 5th anniversaries respectively.
