Paris, Amstelveen, 1st November 2017 - AFI KLM E&M and Indian LCC IndiGo have signed a component support contract covering 30 ATR 72-600 aircraft, delivery of which is to begin in the near future. The array of services to be delivered by AFI KLM E&M includes repairs, dedicated pool access, provision of a Main Base Kit (MBK), and logistics support.

Extending a long-standing partnership
With this latest agreement, the two firms are extending and enriching a working relationship that began back at IndiGo's inception in 2006, with AFI KLM E&M providing component support for IndiGo's A320ceo and A320neo fleets. Over the years, it has built up a trust-based, partner relationship enabling AFI KLM E&M to deliver the most efficient, fast-track response MRO solutions.

Mr. S C Gupta VP Engineering IndiGo, said: "The fact that our two firms have developed strong mutual knowledge and shared aims during our earlier cooperation was a major factor in our decision to renew our trust in AFI KLM E&M as we integrate a new aircraft type into our fleet. Their maintenance services have always provided the strongest guarantees of quality and reliability, and have become a major contributor to our operational performance and to the service we offer our customers. As a result, we are certain that we will benefit from the same exacting standards and excellence for our ATR 72-600s."

Expertise plus expanded ATR product capabilities
AFI KLM E&M has built up extensive experience and know-how on ATR family aircraft as an MRO owned by an operator of these aircraft types. On the strength of this twin technical and operational expertise, the Group is able to design and deliver the maintenance programs best-suited to the real needs and operating conditions of each airline.

In addition, the Group recently formed a partnership with Sabena Technics to set up a dedicated A320 and ATR component repair shop in Singapore. The new organization strengthens AFI KLM E&M expertise and its engineering network in Asia making the services it offers its customers throughout the region more efficient and responsive.

Fabrice Defrance, SVP Commercial AFI KLM E&M, said: "We are delighted and proud to be furthering our partnership with one of India's most important airlines. The extension of our trust-based partnership with IndiGo is an additional mark of the relevance and quality of the MRO solutions designed by AFI KLM E&M, and our Group is already geared up to support the integration of the ATR 72-600s in IndiGo's fleet with optimal component support in place, thanks, in particular, to our new Singapore facility."
